Christmas Advent Week 1&2 | Last Minute Christmas Fillers

I merged Advent 1 and 2 as one as my schedule was tight due to exams and Christmas preparation. Nonetheless, I looked through the items that I collected within the year that were worth mentioning as a part of gift ideas. I compiled these items and categorized them into 7 points for an easy read. Last year, I had done a similar topic which is gifting ideas, but this year, I'll focus more on the small nibbly bits that can be included in your stockings. Hope you find this helpful and gain some ideas for gifting and have a great seasonal shopping!

1. Teas/coffees

Tea or coffee packages are an excellent stuffing for Christmas stockings. I believe most people either love coffee or tea. I am a big fan of brews, anything tea-related. A recent favourite of mine will have to be Stassen Jasmine green tea, Japanese green tea, and Peppermint tea. This green tea, in particular, smells divine and the smell lingers when you open the box. They come in bags and can be easily divided and distributed into many stockings. Teas are great for digestion and overall maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

2. Journal/Notebook

It's Christmas time, and a festive, quirky journal or notebook will bring cheers and a smile to the receiver of your gift! As the new year is approaching, isn't it an opportunity to start planning and writing new resolution(s)? Get them motivated to start the new year by gifting them fun and fancy journals that can aid in organizing and planning ahead of time. It's not only a time to give but also a time to encourage :)

3. Perfume

Perfume is one of the classic gifts that one can think of. Whether you gift a standard or miniature fragrance, depends on your budget. Find a perfume with a cool or edgy design that is unlike others and your friend will be surprised by your picks. The one that I received as a gift from my best friend is Zara Accord N1 which has a slightly floral and musky scent. The design and packaging make it even more giftable.

4. Body wash & cream

Splurging extra notes for a luxurious body bath to be handed out to a family member or friend is considered a great gift. Most of us do not invest highly in high-quality body baths unless on a special occasion. A scented body bath will be much appreciated especially during this festive season. The one that I'm hooked up with is Watermelon Lemonade by Bath and Body Works. This contains vitamin E which nourishes the skin. Do look out for body washes that possibly smell Christmassy (unlike the one I posted, e.g., pumpkin spice, snow or gingerbread) and contain skin-benefit ingredients. Hand creams that come with lovely packaging and design can be one of the best Christmas fillers. Korean products currently have the cutest packaging, and the one that I enjoyed a lot is the peach hand cream by Tony Moly.

5. Mugs

Mugs are great gift stuffing. They wear out after some time. It's never a bad idea to present someone with a new mug to replace their old one. Why not find a festive or Christmas-themed coffee cup or mug that they can pull out during every year's festive season? They'll remember you when they see the mug. The Santa figure cup on the left is from H&M Home, and the Merry Christmas phrase mug on the right is from Kaison. Let your loved ones have a mug to fill with some hot chocolate for the rainy season.

6. Lipsticks

Lipsticks come in many price ranges these days. You can never fail to find a significant but reasonably priced lipstick online or in-store. Consider the best shade and texture of the lipstick that suits your loved ones and your Christmas stuffing is complete. The two new lipsticks that I reached out to quite often are Sephora R67 (orange-red) and Etude House BE109 (pinky nude).

7. Gift Card

This is one of the thousand Christmas gifts that I find fail-proof and easy to purchase. All you have to do is to find a shop that your loved one is intrigued or wishes to buy things from (e.g., coffee, clothing, beauty), purchase a gift card with the amount that you'd gladly spend on, and write a short note and send it away — a handy and yet a helpful gift.
