Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream | Review

ISNTREE Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream is the epitome of moisture in a bottle. I've yet to know other moisturisers that can perform better, but this moist cream is one of the best I've tried. I've gone through several tubes in the past year. The photographed moist cream is an old version, and the formulation and ingredients are improved in the new formulation. The great characteristics of this moisturiser are essential oil and paraben-free. The brand is known for its environmental philosophy in its creation. They make reliable and safe cosmetics which rely on natural ingredients. They're also free from animal testing. In this post, I'll be focusing on the new formulation of the Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream.

The old formulation comes with 80 ml whereas the new formulation comes in 100 ml. They both are packaged in a tube. I much prefer moisturiser in a tube as it's more hygienic and clean with each application.

The texture for both old and new formulations is the same, whereby they're thick and creamy. Although the consistency is on the thicker side, however, upon application, the product spreads evenly and melts onto the skin. It feels smooth and oily, yet watery.

The old formulation does not have any distinct scent, whereas the new formulation has a hint of fragrance (although no fragrance is stated in the ingredient list).

I'll focus on the ingredient lists for the new formula since it has been rolled out and the old formulation may no longer be available on the market.

In the new formulation, the key ingredients as mentioned on their official website are 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid:
Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate; Camellia Sinensis Leaf WaterPrunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, and Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil.

The richness of Hyaluronic Acid is amazing for my damaged skin barrier due to acne as it supplies enough moisture to my skin. I can feel my skin is smooth and supple after application.

I would recommend it to those with normal, dry, combination and dehydrated skin. Personally, I have a combination, of acne-prone and dehydrated skin types, and this works well without irritating my skin. My skin loves the thick consistency as it creates a great skin barrier for my broken skin from past acne.

Some of the ingredients such as cetyl alcohol and Cyclohexasiloxane (a type of silicone) may be triggering for acne prone, however, I do not experience any breakouts from using this.

The old formula does not include these ingredients hence why I decided to give this product a try. When I made the switch to the new formula, my skin reacted well. I'll say this is safe for sensitive and acne-prone skin with combo/dry skin.

I highly recommend this moisturiser if you're looking for an affordable daily moisturiser. The price point is fair and worth the amount of product given. If you are still concerned about the ingredients that may trigger sensitive or acne skin, you may do further research before committing to it. However, if those ingredients are not on your ingredient restriction list, this can be a great product to try out. This moisturiser has improved the overall texture of my skin and I'm more than happy to continue using this until I discover a new moisturiser.

Let me know your go-to moisturiser and I might explore it!

Stay safe & speak soon x
