Skinapple Gold Vital Essential Mask | Review
Gold on cakes and most desserts were impressive, but have you ever considered a 24K gold skincare product? Gold-infused products are the ultimate luxury one can ever experience. You might be thinking about how gold can possibly be a magical ingredient in beauty products. According to an article from HuffPost, gold contains anti-inflammatory properties that help with skin inflammation from acne, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. Gold is also known to be anti-ageing and radiance-boosting, giving a bright glow to the skin. After a pampering session with the Skinapple Gold Vital Essential Mask, I decided to share my thoughts on them and whether gold is the ingredient that is worth its hype.
I was slightly disappointed when I first opened the packet, as there were no specks of gold to be visible to the naked eye. However, let's check out the properties and effects of the Skinapple Gold Vital Essential Mask. Do you think gold-infused products are worth the hype?
The Skinapple Gold Vital Essential Mask comes in a gold foil-like plastic packet. The packaging looks luxe at first glance. On the inside, the sheet mask is a standard white cotton piece (apologise for the lack of actual product photos). There's a minimal light scent that I couldn't quite explain. Not bothered by it too much as it does not affect the use of the mask.
Skinapple claims that the sheet mask contains 0.1ppm Gold. It was not visible so I couldn't further explain it. The sheet mask targets replenishing damaged skin, giving instant brightness and glow to the skin. The 24K Gold within the product helps restore moisture on sensitive skin and enhances skin elasticity.

I am impressed with the ingredients as it contains Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide, and Licorice Extract. Sodium Hyaluronate and Ceramide have great moisturising properties that help to lock moisture and retain suppleness on the skin. Licorice extract has calming properties that help with anti-inflammation.
After 10 minutes of use, I can see my skin brightens up. I highly recommend this if you have an important event the next day, as it brightens the skin tone after application. Although the gold is not visible, I can feel the difference it makes on the skin by lightening the skin tone. The sheet mask is gentle on the skin, and I experience no irritation. Rather, my face felt soft and moisturised. Overall, an affordable luxury sheet mask to achieve quick glowy skin without breaking the bank.
A piece of Skinapple Gold Vital Essential Mask costs approx. RM5. The price is on the low-end side, but the quality of the sheet masks is worth more than their cost. My final verdict is that gold may not be a super ingredient or a necessity in a daily skincare routine. However, if you decide to have a DIY pampering spa session at home, a gold-infused sheet mask is a good choice.
