Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence | Review

I was amazed at Purito as a brand as their products are all safe and gentle on the skin. Their philosophy is that all their products are 100% EWG Green Level certified and use natural and clean ingredients. It's important that we're using products free from harmful substances. The brand is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free with no animal testing. They claim to be paraben, ethanol-free, PEG, mineral oil, silicone, triclosan, petrolatum, sulphate, phthalate, oxybenzone, synthetic fragrance, and synthetic colourant-free. The Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence is no exception as it's essential oil-free and absent of all the harmful ingredients that can potentially harm the environment and skin.

The essence comes in a 150 ml, brown-tinted plastic bottle with a twisting cap. The opening comes with a tight plastic circle with a small hole that prevents leakage or over-pouring of the essence. The packaging is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and I love that it comes with a paper box.

The texture is watery with a slight stickiness. It smells like a specific scent that I could not explain, however, there's no fragrance or perfume on the ingredients list. I guess the scent comes from all the extracts. It dries off quite quickly if you're constantly patting the product into the skin. I find this great for layering several times on the face depending on how much hydration you need.

Ingredients: Butylene Glycol, Lactobacillus/Rice Ferment, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Taraxacum Platycarpum Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Arginine, Caprylyl Glycol, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Portulaca Oleracea, Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine, Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract, Glycerin, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Disodium EDTA

The ingredients are super friendly to the skin, especially the ferment extracts. The only exception is that if you're sensitive to any of the specific plant extracts, then you might want to patch test first. I do not experience any breakouts after using the essence. This is a product you might consider if you have sensitive skin.

How I use the Purito Essence:
  • Method I: After toner, I pat the essence all over my face until well absorbed.
  • Method II: I would pour it onto the compressed facial mask and let it soak and expand. Then, apply the face mask to my face for 10 minutes.

My verdict of this essence is that it's a great daily essence. However, it is not the most hydrating compared to other essences I've tried, but good enough to smoothen and soften the skin texture. This is great for summers as the consistency is not too thick while maintaining the level of hydration the skin needs.

If you're looking for an affordable yet sensitive skin-friendly essence, try Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence as it hydrates and brightens the skin. No visible improvements on acne, but great for hydration. It's one of my top favourite "green" products from Korea, and you should check this brand out even if you're not interested in this essence.

You can find this on YesStyle (international) or Hermo (Malaysia).
