Byredo Gypsy Water Perfume | Review

Is the Byredo Gypsy Water Perfume worth the hype? The cult favourite has intrigued me for more than a year now. The classic and minimal appeal easily attracts anyone to pick it up, smell the memories and buy it. Byredo is a European luxury brand founded in Stockholm in 2006. Aside from perfumes, Ben Gorham the founder also develops other luxury products such as makeup, leather goods and accessories. With that in mind, I can feel the sense of luxury in the creation of this perfume. Let's dissect and dive deeper into the ultimate favourite perfume by many.

The perfume comes in a short circular glass bottle with a metal nozzle and magnetic cap. A simple label and overall a black and white vibe. Love how minimally pleasing it is and looks good on any vanity. The design is well thought out and unique as it feels like art decor.

As stated on the website: "Gypsy Water is an ode to the beauty of Romani culture, its unique customs, intimate beliefs and distinguished way of living. The scent wakens a dream of a colourful lifestyle made of innate nomadism. Woody notes of pine needles and sandalwood associated with intense amber and fresh citrus evoke the fever of gipsy nights spent in the forest."

I favour musky scents over any other scents when it comes to perfume. Gypsy Water is definitely a strong contestant in my perfume collection. The woody scent is unique and something I've never sensed before. Each note's choices are in harmony, making the smell interestingly beautiful yet mysterious. Love how this scent can be worn by all genders. The Gypsy Water neither feel feminine nor masculine. Just something right in the middle that fits anyone who favours a neutral scent that is not too strong or light. I imagine spraying this when I hang out with loved ones or attend a special occasion.
